Kassandra Rivas, M.Ed., BCBA, LBA
Program Specialist for Bridge 2 Program
Kassandra’s passion for working with individuals with special needs was ignited in high school after volunteering in an afterschool program devoted to teaching independent life skills to individuals with special needs. Since then Kassandra has served in her community by volunteering for organizations such as Special Olympics, Unicorn Center, Kinetic Kids and the Houston Rodeo Special Children’s Committee.
Upon receiving her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from The University of Texas at San Antonio, Kassandra returned to Houston and landed her first job as a registered behavior technician for Endeavor which led her in the path of pursuing a career in ABA. Kassandra worked as a direct behavioral therapist for 3.5 years, including the roles of training specialist, feeding specialist, and target specialist before receiving her Master of Education with an emphasis in Applied Behavior Analysis from the University of Houston-Victoria.
She then went on to earn her BCBA shortly after. “Rewarding and fulfilling are the two words that I like to use to describe working with individuals with special needs”, she adds. In addition to her passion with working with kids she also enjoys hands on training with the parents as well to ensure our clients have the strongest team they deserve.
